About MLSE LaunchPad
MLSE LaunchPad is a 42,000‑sq. ft. Sport‑for‑Development facility where youth facing barriers use sport to recognize and reach their potential. Supported by MLSE’s professional sports teams — the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors, Toronto Argonauts and Toronto FC — it is the first facility of its kind in North America. As a collaborative space promoting social change by leveraging sport, education and research, our programming is focused on four pillars : Healthy Body, Healthy Mind, Ready for School and Ready for Work.

As the Coordinator, Sport Programming you will be at the centre of the action : managing a diverse and dynamic team of 80 hourly staff, creating sport programs, and working with the research and partnerships teams to ensure that our programming is having the intended impact. You will be working on an energetic and active Sport Programming Team that prides itself on creating the absolute best experience for the youth within our space, and puts our “Youth First, Always” value at the core of its work.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead a team of 50+ diverse and dynamic hourly staff : coach Supervisors, Youth Mentors, Lead Coaches, and Assistant Coaches; ensure everyone is aware of their roles, emergency procedures, and is supported personally and professionally; this includes scheduling and payroll.
- Measure key outcomes to support MLSE LaunchPad program refinement and growth : work with the Measurement and Evaluation Team to ensure our programs are informed by research and that we are programming to meet our goals and outcomes.
- Participate in special projects and other related duties as required : support the team on proposals, events, and cross‑team initiatives.
- Champion our core values : set the tone for the space and the people in it, knowing and living our values as a key component of this job.
- Lead the development and updating of MLSE LaunchPad Sport‑For‑Development programs : ensure that all our programming focuses on physical literacy, life skills and FUN.
- Oversee the execution of in‑person MLSE LaunchPad programs : be physically present, coach and support hourly staff, and liaise with the full‑time team; set up programs for success by informing and executing the training and onboarding process for all hourly staff.
- Collaborate on the planning and execution of special events : work cross‑team to ensure events are well‑staffed, supported, and run smoothly from start to finish, generally overseeing a sport programming component and staffing the event.

Experience supervising staff; prioritize the well‑being and sense of belonging of hourly staff.Experience managing a budget.Experience creating youth Sport‑For‑Development programming; understanding of physical literacy, fundamental movement skills, and their applicability in a youth sport context.Highly organized and able to manage and prioritize competing responsibilities.Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with multiple programs, events, and administrative priorities running simultaneously; organized teamwork is essential.Collaborator : bring the right people and make decisions that impact others positively.Clear, confident, and thoughtful communicator; can communicate effectively with staff, stakeholders, youth, and parents.Concern for how inequity in sport impacts racialised and marginalised communities, and committed to breaking down barriers to access in sport.Familiarity with applying anti‑oppressive and anti‑racist principles to work and engaged in continued learning in these areas.Believe that the power of sport can change the world.Please Note

$45,000–55,000 base salary. Bonus, vacation, competitive benefits, and many exciting perks are also included.
