We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our warehouse team. Reporting to the Department Manager, the Material Handler will play a key role in supporting day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring accurate inventory handling, efficient material flow, and compliance with company SOPs, quality standards, and Health & Safety and BRC requirements.
This role is well-suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys working collaboratively across departments.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, storage, labelling, and distribution of goods
- Load and unload materials safely, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage or loss
- Strap packed and wrapped skids in accordance with SOPs and quality standards prior to shipment
- Organize and store inventory efficiently using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Pull and stage materials according to production schedules and management approval
- Pick required hardware based on daily and weekly reports and prepare materials for other departments
- Reconcile inventory discrepancies and update warehouse / ERP systems (inventory-focused roles)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, Planning, Purchasing, and other departments to meet operational and customer requirements
- Monitor warehouse equipment and report any product, equipment, or safety concerns to management
- Perform all work in compliance with BRC standards, quality requirements, and Health & Safety policies
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet productivity and scheduling goals
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- Work overtime, weekends, or flexible hours as required
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, shipping & receiving, or inventory controlHigh School Diploma or equivalentPrevious experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environmentValid Forklift License with experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucksFamiliarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systemsProficient with basic computer applications (Email, Microsoft Word, etc.)Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepanciesGood communication skills (verbal and written) in EnglishAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, and standing for extended periodsStrong time management, organizational, and housekeeping skillsAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlinesTeam-oriented, respectful, and professional attitudeWorking Conditions
