About The Position

Reporting to the Team Leader, the Welder will be responsible for :

• Assembling and welding structural steel.
• Rigging, hoisting, and moving materials to and from the workstation; performing crane checks daily to ensure the crane is in working condition, if applicable.
• Laying out reference points and symbols on the structural steel according to the blueprint.
• Operating welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as flux‑cored arc welding.
• Setting up and operating various equipment such as torches, drills, clamping tools, squares, disc grinders, and other hand‑held tools.
• Ensuring safe work practices are adhered to and appropriate PPE is worn at all times.
• Mentoring apprentices and junior fitters by sharing knowledge and safe work practices.
