Okanagan Similkameen SD53 is hiring Teacher Teaching On Call teachers for the 2025 / 26 school year.

We are currently considering applicants who are available 5 days a week, 10 months a year, and who have a goal of becoming a teacher on contract with our district.

Qualifications

• Recognized education degree
• Recently graduated or soon to be graduated from a recognized education program or recent successful classroom experience
• Ability to adapt curriculum, programs, and instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
• Ability to model, teach and foster social, emotional and cultural awareness
• Knowledge of current 21st century pedagogy and assessment practices
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the professional community at the school and district level
• Effective communication, interpersonal, organizational and classroom management skills
• Ability to integrate technologies and digital citizenship into educational programs
• BC Professional Teaching Certificate and current eligibility for Teacher Qualification Service card
