Why is this role important?
The Business Intelligence team is a strategic partner, data solutions provider, and catalyst supporting CBC’s product, content, and operational decision‑making with data. The role involves collaborating with front‑ and back‑end product teams, content units, marketing, and BI counterparts at Radio‑Canada, to deliver essential insights and solutions to the business.
What you bring to our team
- The expertise : 1‑4 years working with complex unaggregated data, especially clickstream or event data, and having produced data products (insights, models, etc.) that have moved the needle.
- The knowledge : Acutely aware of the impact of data analytics on business decisions, with the ability to analyze behavioral signals and convert them into actionable insights, and a solid grasp of statistical concepts such as correlation, regression, and significance.
The technical skills :
Creating clean code and business logic or revising messy code and business logic.Advanced SQL (CTEs, window functions, nested queries).Advanced PowerBI, especially DAX.Experience with one or more of Amplitude, Adobe Analytics, or other enterprise web or product analytics implementations.Working with very large datasets (millions or billions of rows).Python is a big plus.The drive : Thrive in an autonomous and ambiguous environment, curious, and able to dig for insights and stay up to date with industry changes.The right attitude : Enjoy working with people, sharing knowledge collaboratively, approach things with a beginner’s mind, and maintain constant curiosity.The communication skills : Skilled at presenting ideas to non‑technical stakeholders and management, fluent in English, and an excellent verbal and written communicator.The education : Less emphasis on formal degrees; relevant experience in Data Analysis, Data Science, Applied Statistics, or equivalent work experience is preferred.Qualified candidates will be subject to a practical assessment of the above requirements.
Assets
