THE POSITION

We are seeking an intern to join our venture capital team. The individual’s primary function will be to support the venture team in analyzing opportunities for investment as well as conducting some portfolio management activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a student who is passionate about science and investing to gain hands-on research and investment management experience, and to meaningfully contribute to a collaborative, high-achieving team.

The summer 2025 internship will be in Montreal, Canada. The position is an in-office role with competitive compensation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for researching and evaluating investment ideas for the venture capital team
  • Engage with corporate management teams, medical and scientific experts, and other industry sources to help gain

and maintain insights on medical, healthcare industry, and company-specific developments

  • Conduct detailed financial and competitor analysis of selected companies
  • Present and debate investment recommendations and conclusions to the investment committee
  • Analyze and discuss board materials to solve potential issues
  • REQUIREMENTS

  • Completion of an undergraduate / graduate degree in a life science field (eg. medicine, biochemistry, biology,
  • molecular genetics, pharmacology or similar) or medical engineering. Ideally has a dual science / business

    background.

  • Demonstrated interest in investing
  • Financial background is not required, but strong analytical skills and facility with numbers are a must
  • Exhibits a high-level intellectual curiosity when researching new topics
  • Excellent time management, analytical thinking, problem solving, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to team goals and greater
  • collaboration
