The Financial Controller will play a key leadership role in managing the company’s financial health. This position is responsible for overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, cost analysis, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing or food production and a strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory management .
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting and finance functions, including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support operational goals.
- Develop and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Lead cost accounting and inventory control processes, ensuring accurate product costing and margin analysis.
- Support management with financial insights to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate year-end audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and other financial reporting requirements.
- Supervise and mentor accounting team members.
- Work closely with operations and production teams to align financial strategies with business performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA designation preferred).Minimum 5–7 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or controller role.Experience in manufacturing or food production environment is strongly preferred .Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and ERP systems.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar ERP).Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.Strong communication and leadership skills.#J-18808-Ljbffr
