Compensation: $23.00 to $25.00 hourly

Robert Half is looking for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk available to start immediately. This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be located in the Kitchener, Ontario area and will be a short-term contract / temporary position. In this dynamic department, career growth and quick advancement is possible. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be expected to match and batch code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.

Your responsibilities in this role

- Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs

- Facilitate internal and external audits as needed

- Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling

- Carry out additional projects as required

- Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes and controls accurately and on time

- Implement full-cycle A/P

- Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents

- Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department

- Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail

Job Requirements:
- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

- Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

- Command of expense reports

- Check Runs experience highly desired

- Process Expense Reports experience

- Accounts Payable (AP) experience

- Account reconciliation experience

- Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds

- Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
