The opportunity :

We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Engineering team. This role goes beyond traditional DevOps, SRE, and Infrastructure. You'll work on high-impact projects that multiply productivity across our engineering teams and ultimately our customers, increasingly through AI-driven automation and intelligent abstractions.

In this role, you’ll bridge developer experience with low-level infrastructure, building platforms and tools that enable teams to move quickly while maintaining safety, reliability, and scale.

Engineers at Rose Rocket are expected to mentor teammates, set excellent examples, and help guide technical decisions in the right direction. We’re solving exciting challenges : increasing engineering velocity through automation, maintaining SOC 2 security compliance, and building for scale as we grow. A few technologies we use :

Infrastructure : AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Cloudflare, DataDog

Infrastructure-as-Code : Terraform

Backend : NodeJS, NestJS, Typescript

Frontend : React, Redux, Websockets

CI / CD, GitOps and automation : GitHub Actions, Flux, Flagger

Datastores and pipeline : Postgresql, Redis, DynamoDB, Fivetran, Snowplow

What you bring to the table :

4+ years experience in infrastructure role

Strong communicator

Experience with Kubernetes (cluster management, upgrades, scaling)

Experience with SRE, DevOps, GitOps fundamentals, workflows, automations

AWS expertise (RDS, VPC, IAM, EKS, S3, ElastiCache)

Experience with GitHub Actions and CI / CD pipeline optimization

Database operations experience (PostgreSQL, Redis)

Familiarity with node app development

Experience measuring with observability stacks

AI forward mindset and familiarity with tooling (Claude, Cursor, Cline, Windsurf)

Cost optimization mindset

Understanding of CI paradigms ( Build optimization, Testing Pyramid, Gating)

Experience with CD tools ( Flux, Argo, etc)

Familiarity with agile / lean methodologies

The expected salary range for this role is $95,000 –$120,000 CAD .

This range reflects the scope of the role, relevant experience, and opportunities for growth. Most new hires join between the minimum and midpoint of the range, with the upper end typically reserved for team members who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact over time.

Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and overall fit for the role.
