Dispatcher - Night Shift

Position Summary

The Dispatcher will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations of driver dispatch in a busy environment, scheduling, routing, and ensuring that all activities are accurately recorded in the company's transportation management system. The dispatcher will also be expected to communicate effectively with drivers to provide clear instructions and address any issues that arise during transit. Additionally, the role requires close coordination with other departments to ensure timely deliveries and maintain high customer satisfaction.

Schedule

Night Shift : Sunday to Friday, 11pm to 7am

What you will do

• Facilitate daily communication and issue resolution with customers, drivers, and staff
• Review driver productivity and utilization reports and provide recommendations to the Manager
• Monitor and audit daily driver activities (non-rev hours, start times, finish times, delays, etc.)
• Ensure drivers are compliant and working productively
• Order entry, data entry, appointment bookings with shippers, receivers, and customers
• Maintain internal templates and spreadsheets
• Assist in planning for the next day
• Start / Close daily trips or end-of-week trips promptly to keep the system accurate
• Customer-facing responsibilities, including answering inquiries and providing high-level customer service
• Respond professionally to customer emails and communications
