Senior 5-Axis CNC Machinist
Full-Time | Permanent | Afternoon Shift
Pay Range : $36.00 – $42.00 per hour (based on experience)
Shift Premium : 5% of hourly rate
Overtime : Paid after 40 hours per week
Location : Mississauga, Ontario
About the Opportunity
A well-established precision component manufacturer is hiring a Senior 5-Axis CNC Machinist to support ongoing production and long-term growth.
This role is suited for an experienced machinist capable of programming, setup, and operation of advanced 5-axis CNC milling equipment. The environment is clean, professional, and focused on high-precision, low-tolerance work. Turnover is low, and long-term growth opportunities exist for the right individual.
Shift Details : Afternoon Shift, Monday to Friday
- Monday–Thursday : 4 : 30 PM – 2 : 00 AM
- Friday : 3 : 15 PM – 7 : 15 PM
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate 5-axis CNC vertical milling machinesPerform programming, setup, and operationLoad, unload, modify, and optimize CNC programsSelect, change, grind, and set cutting toolsAdjust feeds and speeds to maximize efficiency and part qualityUse appropriate fixtures, indicators, and toolingMeasure and inspect parts to ensure dimensional accuracy and tolerance complianceRead and interpret drawings, blueprints, and GD&TDeburr and prepare parts before and after machiningOperate equipment in accordance with all safety proceduresSupport continuous improvement initiativesPerform other related duties as assignedRequired Experience & Skills
7+ years of CNC machining experience in a precision manufacturing environmentStrong experience with 5-axis CNC millingFanuc and / or Haas control experience requiredExperience with Mastercam strongly preferredAbility to independently program, set up, and run jobs end-to-endSolid understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)Previous jobbing shop experience is an assetFormal CNC training, certification, or apprenticeship is an assetEligibility & Security Requirements
