    • Prepare estimates of labour and / or material costs
    • Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
    • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
    • Prepare tenders and quotations
    • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
    • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
    • Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
    • Survey building locations and levels
    • Instruct apprentices
    • Supervise other workers
    • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
    • Support for persons with disabilities

    • Provides physical accessibility accommodations (for example : ramps, elevators, etc.)
    • Provides visual accessibility accommodations (for example : braille, screen readers, etc.)
    • Provides auditory accessibility accommodations (for example : transcription software, teletypewriters, etc.)
