Database Administrator - Senior

Job Title : Database Administrator Senior

Location : Toronto, ON (100% Onsite)

Duration : 12 Months Contract

Job Summary :

We are seeking a Senior Database Administrator to manage, support, and optimize large-scale Oracle database environments. The role focuses on operations, performance, security, and high availability systems.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform daily database monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting

Manage backups, recovery, performance tuning, and capacity planning

Implement security controls, audits, and patching

Manage database objects, users, and profiles

Develop and maintain SOP documentation

Assess existing environments and recommend improvements

Support disaster recovery and upgrade initiatives

Transfer knowledge to OPS staff

Must-Have Skills (Mandatory) :

10+ years of experience in deploying and administering Oracle databases within an operations environment

10+ years of experience in designing, developing, deploying, and sustaining large implementations based on the Oracle Database product

5+ years of experience in supporting Oracle IAM suite database

5+ years of DBA experience supporting Oracle databases for large mission-critical enterprise solutions

Required Experience & Skills :

Experience with Oracle 11g, 12c, and 19c migrations

Experience with Solaris 10 and RedHat Linux environments

Strong knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery

Experience with ITIL processes (Change, Release, Problem, Capacity Management)

Strong incident and problem management skills

Experience with quality assurance and change management

Work Mode :

100% Onsite (Monday Friday, 8 : 00 AM 5 : 00 PM)
