Position Purpose

Reporting to the Supervisor, Procurement, the incumbent is responsible for administering inventory stock requests, adjustments, and replenishment. The incumbent organizes and manages inventory, storage, and transportation, analyzing and optimizing logistical procedures. The Logistics coordinator also ensures safe and timely pick-up and delivery shipments.

In this role, your responsibilities will include :

  • Manage orders associated with inventory by processing stock requests and coordinating customer order fulfillment and delivery.
  • Perform inventory counts, adjustments, and replenishments to maintain an adequate level of stock to support the operations, guarantee the quality of the products and ensure the information available to the clients is accurate.
  • Track all regulated substances received or shipped, such as chemicals and assets in compliance with internal procedures and provincial and federal regulations and requirements such as Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems (WHMIS).
  • Provide guidance to buyers and clients ensuring applicable documentation is complete to avoid customs clearance delays or surcharges.
  • Manage shipping requests reviewing and recommending appropriate freight costs, transportation rates, and carriers. Ensure legal commercial invoice is prepared, and proper packaging is used according to Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations and internal health and safety procedures.

What you will bring :

  • Knowledge of administration normally acquired through postsecondary education or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Minimum two (2) years of demonstrated experience in a logistics, supply chain support or in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience in interpreting, explaining and applying policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Federal and Provincial Environmental Health and Safety Legislation.
  • Experience using ERP solutions and software.
  • Experience in customer service.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Organizational skills and ability to meet firm deadlines.
  • Capacity to lift boxes and move warehousing equipment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to priorities.
  • Bilingualism (spoken and written).
