The Manager Analysis is responsible for the design, delivery, management and communication of portfolio measurement including general reporting, business casing and performance measurement in support of Personal Lending and Home Financing. The individual is also responsible for specific portfolio initiative monitoring across the Personal and Commercial business segments (customer programs / campaigns, lead management strategy, lead and channel optimization, pricing and credit limit strategy monitoring). In this key role the Manager will apply expertise in analytics to develop, deliver and manage dashboards and performance monitoring reports for our products. The Manager will liaise with the internal data science group and business partners on creating reporting dashboards using visualization software, as well as with IT on bringing marketing data into the central database for integrated reporting. The individual will also participate in projects related to Finance, Treasury, CRM, marketing attribution, cross‑channel reporting, and consumer insights, and will help assess new measurement / analytics tools and vendors to support these areas.
Key Accountabilities
- Apply data visualization skills, understanding of analytics, experimental design and measurement best practices and business acumen to deliver actionable insights that drive rapid business adoption of core contact strategies.
- Analyze large, complex datasets to drive actionable insights and recommendations to improve portfolio performance.
- Tackle complex business problems by converting raw data into meaningful and actionable business ideas.
- Perform analyses including correlations, tests of significance, data QA practices and report construction.
- Use knowledge of analytical techniques, design of experiment, and statistics to develop solutions that enable the business to meet its objectives.
Design and Delivery of Performance Reporting and Self‑Serve Dashboards
Lead the definition, creation and maintenance of standardized dashboards and performance reporting for Customer Optimization.Execute analyses based on delivery plans created by the broader team.Refine design proposals in collaboration with stakeholders in Personal and Commercial Banking.Use SAS, SQL and reporting tools (Microsoft Power BI, etc.) to provide comprehensive monitoring and analytically sound results.Design and improve production and ad‑hoc reporting processes to optimize performance.Create new analyses and / or tools that deliver customer insights enabling clients to achieve business objectives.Leverage Technology and Data to improve Quality and Performance of Analysis
Represent Customer Optimization as subject matter expert for product performance and analytics : data in BMO’s warehouses, customer and product business information, and policies and procedures.Collaborate with Data Operations, IT and user communities to ensure high data integrity and operational reliability.Provide technical direction for planning, design, integration, and implementation of technology.Monitor performance of dashboards and reports to ensure accuracy, currency, and reliability, and work to improve run times and delivery speed.Leadership and Relationship Management
Establish and communicate standards for accurate business requirements, technical specifications and work process documentation.Leverage consultative skills to share insights and recommendations that optimize business results.Collaborate with key partners to ensure projects align with overall strategy, goals, and objectives.Consult with and deliver results to partners within tight time constraints, consistently meeting or exceeding expectations.Provide training to other team members in analytics, report construction, and experimental design.Customer Experience

Managers and Senior Managers of Line of Business including Analytics Centre of Excellence, Customer Marketing, Finance and Treasury, Technology and Operations, P&C Distribution, Canadian P&C Product groups, Credit Risk, Operational Risk and Compliance, Commercial Banking.Knowledge & Skills
Degree in Business, Statistics, Quantitative methods, Math, Computer Science, or Marketing plus 3+ years of applicable experience.Strong grounding in statistical techniques and the data and assumptions.Expert proficiency in SAS, SQL, Excel, PPT.Demonstrated success providing consultative services that influenced positive change in business performance.Experience in data visualization preferred.Deep knowledge of analytics and visualization software such as Base SAS, SAS EG, Power BI.Strong communication skills and ability to provide concise, clear reporting and presentations.Ability to interact with all levels of end users and technical resources.Ability to pull data from multiple sources and formulate comprehensive actionable reports.Skills

Note : Salary will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part‑time roles will be pro‑rated. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
