Plant Controller

About the Role

Reporting to senior operations leadership, the Plant Controller is responsible for safeguarding assets, ensuring accurate plant financial reporting, and providing insights that directly improve P&L results and cash flow. This role works closely with operational teams to enhance margins, improve cost controls, and accelerate efficiency initiatives, while maintaining strong compliance and control frameworks.

What You'll Do

• Oversee plant financial reporting in accordance with corporate standards and Canadian GAAP
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for the facility, aligning with organizational objectives
• Analyze variances and trends to drive timely operational decision-making and performance improvements
• Partner with operations leadership to support productivity, lean initiatives, and continuous improvement projects
• Ensure accurate inventory valuation, cost accounting, and standard costing processes
• Lead physical inventory and cycle counts, ensuring discrepancies are explained and prevented going forward
• Oversee compliance, audit readiness, and financial risk mitigation at the plant level
• Develop and mentor finance team members, fostering accountability and cross-functional collaboration
