We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Customer Service Representative in Stouffville, Ontario. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be working in the tax department of a non-profit organization, providing crucial support to both residential and commercial customers. This role will be initially based onsite, transitioning to a hybrid working model in due course.
Responsibilities :
- Accurate and efficient processing of customer transactions including property sales, purchases, and mortgage changes.
- Handling and resolving customer inquiries, primarily focused on account collections.
- Ensuring accurate electronic record keeping with no requirement for physical filing.
- Assisting with the ownership change process, including the generation and dispatch of relevant letters.
- Working independently to meet deadlines and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
- Utilizing skills in Microsoft Excel and Word, along with other software such as Great Plains, to perform duties like data and order entry.
- Managing communication with customers through various channels including inbound and outbound calls, and email correspondence.
- Ensuring correct application of changes to deeds and other legal documents.
- Supporting other front counter staff during peak busy periods.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a customer service role, preferably within the non-profit sector.
- Proven skills in answering inbound calls, efficiently addressing customer queries and concerns.
- Demonstrable customer service skills, with a focus on providing outstanding service to all stakeholders.
- Proficiency in data entry tasks, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience in email correspondence, showcasing strong written communication skills.
- Familiarity with both inbound and outbound call handling, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word is necessary for managing data and creating reports.
- Experience in order entry, demonstrating an ability to manage and process orders accurately.
- Knowledge of municipalities and local government workings, as it pertains to the non-profit sector.
