THOAR Mining provides comprehensive mining support and operational services, including project management, supervision, underground construction, maintenance, and equipment operation. We are currently seeking highly motivated, safety‑focused Underground Mine Production Supervisors for a potash project with one of our clients in Saskatchewan.

This role requires availability for 12‑hour rotating day and night shifts.

If you are an experienced potash mining professional with strong leadership capabilities and a commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, diversity, and inclusion, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day‑to‑day project activities supporting continuous underground rehabilitation operations.

  • Supervise, direct, and support employees while assisting with training and qualification requirements.

  • Maintain safe, environmentally responsible operating conditions within equipment design parameters.

  • Provide clear work direction, coaching, and constructive feedback to ensure employees understand expectations.

  • Address performance concerns and support employee development as required.

  • Mentor and develop team members to support long‑term organizational success.

  • Facilitate effective communication between operations, maintenance, management, and client representatives.

  • Coordinate manpower, resources, and work activities to ensure safe and efficient contract operations.

  • Act as a liaison between management, shift operations, and maintenance teams.

  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance personnel to troubleshoot issues and maximize productivity and safety.

  • Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and safety observations.

  • Review and authorize work permits in accordance with site requirements.

Qualifications

  • Valid Underground Supervisor certification/ticket as required under Saskatchewan mining regulations.

  • Current First Aid/CPR certification.

  • Valid WHMIS and SCOT certifications.

  • Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices with an excellent safety record.

  • Strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equity in the workplace.

  • Minimum 5 years of mining operations experience, preferably in potash.

  • Proven ability to lead teams safely, effectively, and efficiently.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments and contractors.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead crews while adapting to client operational requirements.

  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and credibility.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and process control software.

  • Experience using maintenance or work‑scheduling software.

Client Requirements

  • Successful completion of a pre‑employment Drug and Alcohol test.
