Visit cpkcr.com to learn about the CPKC advantage, our purpose and culture.PURPOSE OF THE POSITION : Lead a safe, efficient, cost-effective work equipment maintenance program within their territoryHandle, coordinate and control the resources responsible for the maintenance of work equipment and vehicles in accordance with regulatory requirements and processesLead the planning and execution of all work equipment repair activitiesPOSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES : Supervise and monitor the performance of maintainers to ensure the reliability of work equipment as advised by the Manager of Work EquipmentEnsure the application of CPKC safety practices, policies and proceduresSupervise financial results encouraged within their assigned budgetsEnsure PPM is scheduled on vehicles and equipment assigned to their area and evaluates inspection reportsImplement work processes / changes that achieve continuous improvementArrange for and prepare condition reports for all work equipmentEnsure equipment work order management and maintenance records are kept accurateMaintain cross functional relationships within assigned territoryTrack inventory to safety stock levelsGuide, mentor, and develop maintainers and machine operators to improve their efficiencyPOSITION REQUIREMENTS : High School diploma or equivalent work experience5 years of relevant work experience in a railway work equipment maintenance environmentJourneymen certificate as a heavy-duty mechanic would be an assetDocumented proficiency in applying appropriate knowledge and technical skills to ensure alignment with CPKC policies and standards, as well as regulatory requirements.Rules qualifiedProficient computer skills and proven understanding of CPKC systems ie SAPAbility to simultaneously lead priorities and ensure delivery of key performance metrics during emergency and non-emergency operationsPeople leadershipGood interpersonal skillsSkills to efficiently influence peers, multi-functional co-managers, and leadershipWHAT CPKC HAS TO OFFER : Flexible and competitive benefits package Competitive company pension planEmployee Share Purchase Plan Annual Fitness Subsidy Part-time Studies Program ADDITIONAL INFORMATION : As an employer with North American presence, the possibility does exist that the location of your position may be changed based on organizational requirements.
