As a Sr. Manager of Market Access & Business Development for AWM, you will be responsible for developing and implementing provincial strategies to enable access and reimbursement of S+N products, treatment and procedures within the Advanced Wound Management business.
What will you be doing?
The Senior Sales role works closely with a cross-functional team, including marketing, operations, medical education, and clinical departments, to strategize and implement projects that support clinical pathways for both patients and healthcare providers.
You will meet the national sales quota while driving growth, and advancing the positioning of S+N's key products.
As the AWM Senior Manager of Market Access & Business Development, you will use a consultative approach to highlight the value of therapies and S+N solutions. You will build strategic relationships with key customers, health authorities, and government representatives to identify and address barriers limiting product access in targeted regions. Your success in this role will depend on effectively fostering relationships with key decision-makers across the continuum of care to boost product awareness and adoption. A strong focus on Pharmacoeconomics models and establishing health economics pathways will be critical for achieving both short-term and long-term success
Time Magagement :
Strategic Planning - Develop and implement market access strategies that align with overall business objectives. Analyze market dynamics, payer landscapes, and competitive environments to inform strategic decisions.
Payer and Stakeholder Engagement - Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including payers, health authorities, and health care providers. Lead negotiations with payers to secure favorable reimbursement and formulary placements for the company’s products.
Health Economics and Outcomes Research - Collaborate with Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) teams to generate and communicate value propositions and economic evidence supporting product reimbursement. Develop and present economic models, value dossiers, and health assessments.
Regulatory and Compliance - Ensure compliance with local regulations and guidelines related to market access and pricing. Monitor changes in regulations and policies that could impact market access strategies.
Market Insights and Intelligence - Conduct market research and analysis to understand payer requirements, market needs, and trends. Provide insights and recommendations based on market intelligence to support product launches and lifecycle management.
Cross-functional Collaboration- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and R&D teams to ensure alignment of market access strategies with overall business plans with internal teams to ensure effective execution of market access initiatives.
Reporting and Documentation- Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and updates on market access activities to senior management. Maintain accurate records of market access activities, negotiations, and outcomes.
What will you need to be successful?
The key sales responsibilities include developing and driving market access strategies that align with overall business goals, informed by market dynamics, payer landscapes, and competitive analysis. This involves building and maintaining relationships with payers, health authorities, and healthcare providers, as well as leading negotiations to secure favorable reimbursement and formulary placements. Collaborating with Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) teams, you will develop and present economic models and value propositions to support product reimbursement. Ensuring compliance with local regulations and monitoring changes that could impact market access and pricing strategies is essential. You will conduct market research to understand payer needs and market trends, providing insights to support product launches and lifecycle management. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, and R&D teams, you'll ensure that market access strategies are aligned with business plans and effectively implemented. Additionally, you will prepare reports and updates on market access activities for senior management, maintaining accurate records of negotiations and outcomes.
- Degree in Science or Healthcare, Masters preferred
- Licenses / Certifications : CMAP is an asset
- Experience in negotiating with public and private insurers, with a solid understanding of the Canadian reimbursement landscape (CADTH, pCPA, PMPRB, RAMQ) and a proven ability to conduct market research to understand payer needs and trends
- Familiarity with healthcare patient support programs, pharmaceuticals, or medical devices is beneficial for market access. Strong in project management and analytics
- The ability to travel up to 50% nationally, including overnight, is required including visiting clinical settings and industry specific conferences
