Express Employment Professionals – Red Deer is recruiting on behalf of a local area client for an Industrial Designer position in Lacombe, Alberta.Job Summary : The Industrial Designer will be responsible for : Creating 3D models that provide a realistic view of various mechanical components, products, and assemblies for RV and marine systems.Designing mechanical components, products, and assemblies for manufacturing through injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, or other processes.Product conceptualization, planning, design, development, testing, and finalization to a marketable product.Measuring performance, identifying product problems, and implementing solutions.Utilizing SolidWorks and similar programs to create designs, product documentation, and revision histories.Developing plans, technical documentation, testing methods, and user manuals for mechanical products.Occasional travel may be required.Additional tasks as required.Position Details : Hours : Full-timeLocation : Lacombe, AlbertaCompensation : Dependent on experience, education, and credentialsStart Date : Accepting applications immediatelyOur Values : We seek candidates who align with our core values : Honesty – Acting with integrity and principles.Endurance – Strong character with the ability to overcome challenges.Innovation – Embracing new ideas and improvements.Qualifications : Legally entitled to work in Canada.Highly analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.Proficiency in SolidWorks and solid modeling software.Strong mathematical and spatial visualization skills for 3D modeling.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Strong technical skills and a systematic approach to problem-solving.Ability to handle strict deadlines and stressful situations.Desirable (But Not Required) Attributes : Experience in designing mechanical parts.Work experience as a 3D Drafter with plastics experience.Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technologist Diploma.In-depth knowledge of SolidWorks.
