Personal Support Worker (PSW) – British Columbia

Hiring for Our Client's Healthcare Facility in British Columbia

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) on behalf of our client in British Columbia. This role is open to both local and international candidates. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality care and support to clients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and overall well-being in a professional and respectful manner.

Responsibilities

1. Personal Care Assistance

  • Assist clients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.

2. Emotional Support

  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Promote a positive and respectful environment.

    • 3. Health Monitoring

  • Observe and report changes in clients’ physical or mental health to supervisors.
  • Assist with medication reminders and basic healthcare needs as required.

    • 4. Meal Preparation and Housekeeping

  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.

    • 5. Documentation

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided.

    • Schedule

  • Flexible shifts : Morning, afternoon, evening, or overnight.
  • Weekend and holiday availability as required.

    • Work Location : On-site / In person in British Columbia

    Job Type

  • Full-time, Permanent

    • Salary

  • Competitive wages based on experience

    • Requirements

  • Certification as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience for candidates inside Canada.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience for candidates outside Canada.
  • English Language Proficiency : CLB 6 minimum.
  • Compassionate and patient with excellent communication skills.
  • Physical ability to perform required tasks, including lifting and transferring clients.
  • Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols.
