Are you an experienced Plate Fabricator or Fitter who takes pride in turning raw steel into powerful, precision-built heavy equipment? We’re on the lookout for skilled craftsmen to join our production team in Barrie. If you thrive in a safety-first, continuous-improvement environment where your expertise directly impacts the final product this is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for!

Day Shift: Mon- Thursday or Tuesday - Friday 6:00am-4:30 pm
Rate: $33-$37 hrly
Benefits after 3 months, RSP pension match after 1 year, 4 day work week

Responsibilities
Fitting & Assembly: Interpret technical drawings to layout, cut, shape, align, clamp, and tack-weld components (plates, structural parts, subassemblies).

Quality & Dimensional Accuracy: Inspect fit-ups against dimensional tolerances to eliminate non-conformances and minimize rework.

Material & Equipment Operation: Safely operate tools (torches, grinders, presses) and material handling equipment (overhead cranes) to prepare and position materials.

Safety & Workplace Standards: Follow OH&S guidelines, utilize required PPE, maintain continuous hazard awareness, and uphold 5S workplace cleanliness.

Qualifications
Overhead crane certification (or ability to obtain)
Forklift certification (asset)
CWB welding tickets (asset)
5-7 years of experience in plate fitting, structural steel fabrication,
or similar Trade certification or apprenticeship in fabrication, welding, or related discipline
High school diploma or equivalent
