Job Description
About Ocean Steel
Incorporated in 1955, Ocean Steel services several markets, including Atlantic Canada, the Eastern United States, Bermuda and the Caribbean. Although they specialize in fabricating and erecting structural steel for buildings and bridges, they also manufacture and install platework, such as breechings, stacks, ducts, penstocks, process & storage tanks and custom process-equipment. Ocean Steel’s two New Brunswick plants include the original location in Saint John, as well as the York Steel Plant in Fredericton, which was acquired by Ocean Steel in 1995.
Responsibilities
- Providing assistance in paint shop by setting-up and removing steel beams for painters
- Load steel beams onto flatbed trucks in yard
- Use proper strapping techniques to secure load
- Assist with taping areas
- Use of overhead cranes
- Snow Removal in winter months
Requirements
