Who is GCM Consultants?
We are a local engineering firm that has been helping customers in all industries with engineering, operations and maintenance since 1994. We measure our success by the continuity of our work with all our clients. We're always on the lookout for new projects that push the boundaries of creativity.

On a daily basis you will have to:
Control documents during the engineering and construction phases according to current internal and client procedures:

Verify documents to ensure accuracy and compliance
Classify the technical documentation according to the procedures in force
Retrieve files for the project team from our systems and from client systems
Proceed with the issuance of project documents
Follow up on various project files
Ensure the management of vendor documents in a short timeframe
Collaborate with the team on routine document control requests
Carry out project audits
Perform reprography and assembly work when required, including end-of-project binders
Archive various project files electronically and on paper
Perform all other related tasks that may help with the completion of projects

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position
Knowledge of engineering documentation control
Good knowledge of Windows environment and Office Suite software
Fluency in French and English required occasionally since the person will collaborate with colleagues and clients outside of Quebec, both written and oral.

Assets:

Knowledge of SharePoint, Bluebeam, Live Link, eB, BIM 360, Project Wise, ALIM, Meridian software
Knowledge of the ISO 9001 standard
Relevant experience in consulting engineering, petrochemical or manufacturing industry, mining and metals, construction company, or in an industrial technical environment
DEC, AEC or Certificate in document management
