Social Media Coordinator (Contract)

Expected Salary Range : $50,000 - $60,000

We’re looking for a Social Media Coordinator (Contract) to join our Marketing and Sales team based in our Support Office on Chester Street in Vancouver, BC. This individual will report to the Director of Marketing.

Job Overview :

We’re looking for a Social Media Coordinator who is bright, creative and driven to join our fast-paced marketing team to cover a 1-year parental leave. We’re a strong Canadian brand who is a repeat Best Employer award winner, and we get to spend our time talking about, taste testing and celebrating chocolate!

The Social Media Coordinator   is responsible for   managing, executing, and measuring our social media content. They will manage our social content schedule and   be responsible for   community management. They will work closely with our marketing and merchandising team,   photographers   and designers to support seasonal marketing campaigns. This role is ideal for someone   who has 1 to 2 years experience in social media and is   passionate about social media, looking to gain further experience in the industry.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for :

• Creating social media content. Developing content ideas to promote upcoming product launches and brand stories, ensuring content resonates with the customer and the brand. This includes creating written content, graphics, and videos ranging from several seconds to several minutes.
• Managing the social media content calendar and planning process . Planning, managing, and coordinating the content calendar, researching upcoming relevant news, events, or holidays. Leading social content brainstorming sessions.
• Community management. Responding to and engaging with our Purdys community across social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest & Glassdoor
• Experimenting and using data to inform strategy. Extract insights and learnings from each social channel and from your time engaging with our community, use these insights to inform our social strategy.
• Keeping up to date with industry trends. Keep on top of social media trends and popular culture, recognizing opportunities for Purdys to take advantage of to further resonate with customers.
• Showcasing the Purdys brand and voice. Adopt Purdys Chocolatier’s voice and tone across content work and ensure that anything shared on any social channel is on-brand.
