Ambassatours Gray Line Ltd.Halifax, NS, CAAs a Main On-Site / Cruise Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring seamless tour operations for cruise passengers visiting Halifax. Acting as the main point of contact between guests, tour operators, and local tourism partners, you will oversee tour dispatch, provide customer service, and manage on-the-ground logistics. Your ability to work in a fast-paced environment while delivering an exceptional guest experience will be essential to the success of our cruise shore excursions.ResponsibilitiesRole : On-Site Team Leader / MOS lead a team of cruise coordinators and manages various lines of the on-site business including but not limited to on-site safety, execution of contracted services, pier side selling, staffing issues, Hop-on Hop-off operations, as well as working in a team-oriented, multi-disciplinary environment. Responsible for applying appropriate risk management strategies which will impact on the company's financial results, reputation, and client relationships.While On-Siteoversees the smooth, professional and courteous execution of all shore excursion operations as contractedensures all dispatch staff and guide staff are on-site and briefed prior the ship arrivalworks closely with transport staff to ensure all vehicles and staff are on site and preparedworks to ensure all staff are properly uniformedgreets Shore Excursion Staff and workalong side to excuate days operationsreceives updated tour countsdistributes any updated information in regard to dispatch and tour departures to the on-site coordinating teamauthorizes all last-minute ticket salesprovides the all-clear for groups to depart the pier - if applicableensures a timely, efficient and seamless dispatch for clientensures suppliers are contacted with updated tour numbers and meal requests - if applicableensures Hop on Hop off (HoHo) schedules are running efficiently and timelyensures all brochure racks are visible and filled with HoHo mapsdistributes duties to staff (break, replacement, support for staff in other areas)oversees ticket tally for the daydocuments all tour sales and signs off on agreed to numbers on a settlement sheet id applicableresponsible to be objective, fair and thorough and comply with practices and procedures to provide the highest level of customer serviceeffectively and professionally communicates to management and clients and to build rapport with team members and business partners using a variety of techniquesresolves minor conflicts and issues and escalates to others as appropriateoperates within company and legal policiesworks to help maximize efficiencies and revenues for the respective departmentsresponds to as many concerns and compliments as possible, both positive and negativeWith Cruise Operations Manager and Cruise Account Representativeclearly communicates standards and goals and work together to create and implement plansconsistently monitor cruise coordinators to ensure adherence to all department policies and SOP's for the overall successful operation, and to also provide feedbackobserve, evaluate and improve tour operations to ensure quality standards are maintained and exceededmotivate all staff with positive attitude to the workQualificationsSkills Required : professional manner and appearanceeffective communication and conflict resolution skillsability to work well under pressure, and follow assignmentsenthusiasm and desire to sell Atlantic Canada as a travel destinationexcellent organizational skillsflexibility to work shifts including early mornings, evenings, holidays, and weekendsexcellent oral and written communicationability to communicate in either German, French, Spanish an assetstrong observation skills, attention to detail, cleanliness & aesthetics of working spaceStanding for long periods of timeShifts may be as long as 10 to 14 hoursMust be able to lift up to 30lbs - occasionallyAble to wear and use a radio with an earpieceWalking between piers and booths throughout the dayWorking in all types of weatherWorking under pressure and with strict time constraintsfriendly, customer-focused personalityAbout Ambassatours Gray Line Ltd.For over three decades, Ambassatours Gray Line has stood as a leader of excellence in sightseeing in Canada's East Coast, offering award winning land and water tours across Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island.
