Senior Project Manager

Full Time Direct Contract - 2 Year + extensions

Mostly Remote, Ontario

Salary : 115-120k + benefits through end client

JOB DESCRIPTION

Insight Global is seeking a highly motivated project management professional with expertise delivering complex IT projects and programs. In this role, you will be supporting a major Toronto hospital that has invested in a multi-phase technology advancement program. This program is in flight and is centred around the technology foundation of a platform designed to improve the experience of the hospital's researchers.

To be successful in this role you will need to establish close working relationships within the relevant business area(s) to your assigned projects, develop a comprehensive understanding of the strategic drivers for the organization, as well as an understanding of the organization's capacity for change. The successful candidate will lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and internal departments, to ensure our technology solutions meet the needs of the organization and support the strategic goals.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 10 years working experience; 5 years of which must be as a Project Manager in a technical / IT environment.
• Experience in an academic research, post-secondary, and / or life sciences setting, government or public sector
• Experience leading or supporting public sector technology procurements.
• Project Management Certification (PMP, PRINCE2,) or master's in project management.
• Experience managing project budgets of $1 million or greater; including tracking and monitoring project financials.
• Experience on complex IT initiatives, system integration projects, custom software development, and implementing vendor-supplied systems.
• Proven track record of successfully leading technology projects from concept to launch.
• Experience leading the procurement of new technology solutions and services.
• Experience managing vendor relationships and delivery work statements (SOWs).
• Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative and consensus driven environment.
• Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
• Ability to draw upon negotiation skills and conflict resolution strategies to work with multiple stakeholders, internal teams, and vendors to obtain buy-in and support to ensure the success of projects.
• Can perform complex analysis and implement remedies that meet the needs of challenging situations.
• Exceptional presentation, facilitation, and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to convert complex technical information to plain language.
• Demonstrated commitment and actions in advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion objectives.

o Following program standards and governance structures

o Sequencing of interdependent projects that are part of a program

o Supporting resource planning within a program

o Monitoring and controlling project streams to ensure alignment with overarching business goals and objectives

o Identifying program level risks and supporting mitigation or corrective actions

o Ensuring collaboration among project streams

o Supporting program change management and communications

o Measuring and monitoring success metrics and return on investment
