As a key team member in the initiation and / or management of water, wastewater and stormwater capital projects or water and wastewater treatment facility infrastructure at Halifax Water, the Project Engineer provides leadership in Halifax Water by delivering services that protect public health and the environment through the delivery of capital projects. Reporting to the respective Manager, the Project Engineer is responsible for the provision of professional engineering and project management services for a wide range of capital projects related to water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Project Engineer (Infrastructure Planning) will mainly focus on the planning of projects in support of Halifax Water’s long-term plan as established by the Integrated Resource Plan.
- The Project Engineer (Capital Project Delivery) will mainly focus on the delivery of projects established in the Infrastructure Master Plans and / or projects generated from asset renewal practices and programs from the Integrated Resource Plan.
- The Project Engineer (Treatment Facilities / Process Engineering) will mainly focus on the delivery of projects in support of Halifax Water’s long-term plans specific to working in Water and Wastewater Treatment Facilities.
