Join the Haztech Team as a National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO)
Exciting opportunity! Haztech has an immediate opening for a qualified NCSO to join our team in Yorkton , starting ASAP . If you’re an experienced safety professional looking for a dynamic role in health and safety, we want to hear from you!
Position Overview :
As an NCSO , you will be responsible for developing and implementing health and safety policies and procedures for the project, ensuring compliance with regulations and fostering a proactive safety culture. You will actively monitor site activities, conduct inspections, and support the team in identifying and mitigating risks.
What You’ll Do :
Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures
Monitor and verify processes to ensure compliance with safety standards
Conduct site safety supervision and regular inspections to identify risks and enforce compliance
Review guidance documents, policies, and procedures to align with site requirements
Provide safety support during planning and operations meetings
Audit Safe Work Permits, Tool Box Talks, and high-hazard task permits
Assist with incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions
Promote a culture of safety engagement and adherence to regulatory requirements
What You’ll Bring :
NCSO Certification (Required)
Minimum 2 years of safety experience
Experience with working at heights, confined space, excavation, hot work, lockout / tagout, and scaffolding
Strong knowledge of site safety supervision and compliance monitoring
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and documentation management
Ability to work autonomously and under pressure
Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain criminal record clearance
