Kumar Architecture Ltd., specializes in quality residential, mixed use commercial architecture, Hotel, Industrial prefabricated building and office buildings.

Given the small size of our office and the diversity of project types, this position demands a lot of dedication.

Candidates must have an enthusiasm for a variety of tasks, take a leadership roles, learning new skills and “jumping in” when deadlines loom. This position requires an organized individual with a minimum five years experience who is equally capable of working independently or providing project team leadership.

Preferred is a candidate with a multi-faceted background demonstrating familiarity with all technical aspects of architectural design. This will include a thorough understanding of building code and building construction through experience in a variety of residential and commercial projects with a special focus on construction administration and contract documents.

Duties and Responsibilities :

1. Support the Project Manager in producing permit drawings and contract documents with communicate with different team members and leading the project process with minimum supervision.

2. Produce drawings using Autodesk Revit software and help analyze local zoning and both latest British Columbia and national Building Codes.

3. Assist in preparing design development packages and then production set of working drawings.

4. Work with the production team in assigning, delegating, and reviewing drawing packages.

5. Coordinate with city officials and external teams such as sub-consultants and engineers.

6. Work with clients and user groups to develop concepts during schematic design and design development meetings.

7. Prepare meeting minutes and project schedules.

8. Assist in contract administration such as reviewing shop drawings and preparing site instructions.

9. Work on multiple projects at the same time.

10. Contribute to business development and team development with strong communication and relationship skills.

11. Degree or Diploma in Architecture or Interior design or Architectural Technology.
