We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager / Supervisor to join our team in Winnipeg, Manitoba. In this role, you will be tasked with overseeing all aspects of finance and accounting functions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with established procedures and standards.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee and manage the entire spectrum of finance and accounting functions and related activities
• Monitor and manage the organization's accounting software and related processes, ensuring optimal utilization of technology
• Assist in the development and review of facility policies and procedures, particularly those related to financial management and controls
• Prepare monthly financial statements, including necessary journal entries, and update working papers / schedules
• Analyze monthly financial reports, discuss variances with managers and supervisors, and ensure distribution of these statements to all service areas
• Manage compliance and delivery of services related to service purchase agreements and financial services contracts
• Participate in the audit and finance committee of the board meetings, providing necessary analysis as needed
• Administer Federal and Provincial grant programs, maintain required financial records, and manage the submission of claims
• Ensure that invoices are processed according to policies and procedures, and prepare payment batches
• Assist in the preparation of annual operating budgets and manage cash flow projections monthly
• Prepare year-end working papers, analysis reports, and assist external auditors
• Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in an Accounting Manager / Supervisor role or similar
• Proficient in the use of Accounting Software Systems
• Demonstrable experience in managing all Accounting Functions
• Must have experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Comprehensive knowledge of Auditing is required
• Proficiency in managing Billing Functions is a must
• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations is necessary
• Ability to manage Month End Close and Year End Closings efficiently
• Proven experience in Financial Statement Preparation is required
• Strong analytical skills for financial Analysis are necessary
• Must hold a CPA Designation
• A deep understanding of financial and accounting regulations and legislation is required
