About the Opportunity

We will do this by hiring graduate Pharmacy Technicians who will be completing studies in the next 12 months. NSH will provide you with the challenge and opportunity you are looking for by entering the Pharmacy field!
Registered Pharmacy Technician participates in the provision of safe, competent, patient or family centered ethical care, ensuring the goals and needs of the patient are prioritized and individualized; prepares, packages and dispenses medication under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. Responsibilities include compounding of sterile and non-sterile dosage forms, dispensing drugs to inpatients and outpatients in unit dose, physician order entry, working with automation, Inventory control, medication reconciliation, and CIVA systems. Preparation of chemotherapy doses, distributing narcotics and participating in quality programs and patient safety initiatives.

Various permanent, assignments (temporary), casual relief (no guarantee of hours), and opportunities available in various locations throughout Nova Scotia.
