Job Opportunity : Senior Accountant / Manager – Public Practice
Compensation : $80,000 - $120,000 annually
Are you a seasoned Senior Accountant aspiring to ascend rapidly to a managerial role? Alternatively, are you a Manager in a large firm seeking a transition to a more intimate boutique setting? Or are you currently working in a family office looking to move to a manager role? If so, our esteemed client, a well-established CPA firm in Vancouver, is actively seeking a dynamic individual to join their boutique team at the Senior Accountant or Manager level. This role offers a comprehensive scope, allowing you to demonstrate proficiency in compilations, audit, assurance, and tax services.
As a pivotal member reporting directly to the firm's Partners, the successful candidate (Senior Accountant or Manager) will be entrusted with the following responsibilities :
- Supervising junior staff in bookkeeping, including adjusting entries, calculating source deductions, and managing GST / PST returns for clients as needed.
- Preparing compilations / NTRS of year-end financial statements and associated working papers.
- Managing the preparation and review of personal Tax (T1), corporate tax returns (T2), and Trust & Estate Tax (T3) returns.
- Handling files requiring audit and assurance services.
- Directly liaising with internal stakeholders and external parties such as clients and the CRA.
- Reviewing, mentoring, training, and overseeing work completed by junior staff.
