Interior Health AuthorityOsoyoosInterior Health is seeking a permanent full time Rural Adult Mental Health & Substance Use Clinician to join the Mental Health Adult Short Term Assessment and Treatment (ASTAT) team at the Osoyoos Health Centre in beautiful Osoyoos, B.C.
Salary Range :
Effective April 1, 2024, the pay scale for this position is $42.27 to $52.81

Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will have strong assessment and treatment skills and possess a human caring and relationship centred approach to practice.
What will you work on?
As the successful candidate, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, whose purpose is to ensure that adults and elderly persons with serious mental disorders and / or substance use problems and co-occurring impairment in personal, family, financial, occupational and / or social life, have access to responsive, sensitive and relevant assessment and treatment services. This includes individuals with acute psychosis, depression, anxiety, complicated grief, suicidal ideation, substance use disorders, substance dependence and concurrent disorders.
The primary duties include, at the advanced practice level, intake assessment, crisis intervention, referral, case management, short term individual and group psychotherapy, psychogeriatric support, collaborative community planning, psycho-education with clients and their families, and liaison with appropriate professionals. Duties include urgent response intervention to individuals in acute crisis, consultation with other care providers, and the coordination of services for adults and elderly with mental health and / or substance use problems.
Scheduling Information :
Shift times are from 08 : 30 to 16 : 30 hours.
