Description de poste

Company Description

FLINT is a leading service provider in Canada’s energy and industrial markets offering full asset life cycle support, including construction, maintenance, fabrication, and environmental services. Committed to safety and quality, we foster a workplace culture that values innovation and sustainability. With a strong local presence and top-tier talent, we deliver high-quality services as we help our customers bring their resources to our world.

Job Description

FLINT is growing its Decommissioning, Demolition & Abandonment (DDA) services within our Environmental Services division and is seeking a Service Line Manager to lead and expand this practice.

This role is suited for a proven operational and technical leader with strong business acumen and deep experience in asset retirement, abandonment, and site transition programs. You will be responsible for setting strategic direction, ensuring disciplined execution, strengthening client relationships, and delivering safe, compliant, and cost‑effective DDA projects across Western Canada and into Ontario.

What would you be doing?

  • Lead and grow the Decommissioning, Demolition & Abandonment service line, ensuring strong operational performance, financial sustainability, and high‑quality project delivery.
  • Steward execution of complex DDA programs including well and facility abandonment coordination, demolition, site transitions, and integration with assessment, remediation and reclamation activities.
  • Support identification and pursuit of new business opportunities, including developing proposals, leading RFP responses, and supporting cross‑functional growth strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators, and relevant stakeholders, representing FLINT as a trusted partner in asset retirement.
  • Support cross‑service collaboration with our two other technical service lines, Assessment, Remediation, Reclamation and Closure (ARRC) and Water Resources and compliance (WRC) to deliver integrated environmental solutions.
  • Mentor, develop, and support multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Perks of the job

  • Opportunity to lead and grow a core asset‑retirement service line within an established and expanding Environmental Services division.
  • Meaningful work supporting responsible closure, risk reduction, and land stewardship.
  • A dynamic role combining leadership, technical oversight, and business development.
  • Career growth opportunities within a growing, values‑driven organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical diploma, trade‑qualified professional, or related discipline with relevant technical training, certifications, and progressive leadership experience.
  • 15+ years of experience in industrial and/or environmental asset retirement, including well, pipeline, facility, and infrastructure abandonment, demolition, and site transition programs.
  • Proven leadership experience overseeing complex, contractor‑driven execution, multidiscipline teams, and high‑risk field operations.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and client requirements related to abandonment, demolition, and site closures, including construction interfaces, safety‑critical work, and execution risk.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, margins, schedules, and resourcing across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with experience representing technical programs to senior clients, regulators, and partners.

Additional Information

This position has been identified as a safety-sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.
