District of SaanichVictoria, BCDescription :
The District of Saanich is seeking up to three Instructor III – Ceramics to provide ceramics instruction for programs through the Cedar Hill Recreation Centre and Arts Centre. Successful candidates will develop and instruct ceramics classes for all ages of various levels. Opportunities may also be available to instruct camps, pro d days and workshops. Program planning, preparation and coordination will also be expected. Successful candidates will demonstrate advanced skill when making ceramics, and possess strong communication skills, creativity, and an ability to create a welcoming environment for class participants.
Shift opportunities may include days, evenings, and weekends. Applicants are asked to provide their availability.
Requirements include completion of Grade 10; three months experience instructing program area; certification and training in area of instruction in accordance with Industry Standards; a Satisfactory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector check. Emergency First-Aid and CPR “C”, as required.
