Senior Legal Counsel, 5-8+ Years

Southwestern Ontario (Hybrid) - 12-Month Contract

ALT is partnering with a financial services institution headquartered in Southwestern Ontario. This client seeks a Senior Legal Counsel on a 12-month contract to add to the small but growing legal department. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, and working closely with a paralegal, you will be involved in the day-to-day legal operations of the company. In particular, you will be responsible for drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, privacy law, regulatory compliance, and other matters.

Applicants must have 5-8+ years of relevant experience . Insurance regulatory experience will be considered an asset. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, as is the ability to communicate complex concepts in easily understandable terms to a wide range of audiences. The company operates on a two-day-per-week in-office model and offers the opportunity to be very involved with a collegial group of professionals.
