The Intermediate Procurement Specialist is accountable for full lifecycle procurement activities for a portfolio of medium-to-high complexity procurement packages for the Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC) program, inclusive of systems, equipment, and materials.
Responsibilities include :
- Perform requisite research and analysis to develop an optimal sourcing strategy across the assigned portfolio.
- Execute stakeholder management activities to ensure accurate, timely, and clear advice is provided to the business to support progress and schedule adherence.
- Perform full life cycle supplier management activities, including pre-qualification, supplier engagement, supplier negotiations, and supplier performance management.
- Ensure on-time material delivery and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) adherence.
- Develop and implement Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposal (RFP).
- Manage these sourcing events to meet cost management and scheduling expectations.
- Perform a full suite of contract management activities for the assigned portfolio, including contract preparation, executive briefings, participation in and / or leading negotiations, and post-award contract administration.
- Fulfill Purchase Order management requirements, including invoice review and attestation to ensure first-time match invoice management.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise and practical experience essential for understanding of end-to-end supply chain and procurement activities. You have post-secondary education in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. Candidates without a formal degree who possess an additional two years of relevant experience will also be considered. You have a proven track record of completing procurement tasks efficiently, showcasing their ability to handle multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
