Your mission should you accept it :

The Project Manager, under the Project Director'sresponsability, ensures the comprehensive supervision and coordination of allthe steps of a construction project, namely collaboration with Health andSafety, planning, quality, cost, relation with client and collaboration withsubcontractors.

  • Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / Constructionengineering bachelor’s degree
  • Member of aProfessional Engineer Association
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in similar functions
  • Good abilityin Microsoft Office Suite
  • Communicateboth verbally and written in English
  • Highgeographical mobility
  • Valid driverlicense
  • Ability towork in teams
  • Excellentmanagement, negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability toexercise initiative, autonomy and leadership
  • Excellent teammanagement and conflict resolution assets
  • Highadministrative rigor
  • Being able to adapt to high-stress environment and weather fluctuations(construction site).

What you will do to complete this mission successfully :

  • Companyrepresentative on site
  • Responsiblefor planning the project tasks, organizing the master schedule, proceeding withthe work estimate, contract award, controlling costs, managing the project andsupervising the project team
  • Ensures goodrelations with the community, the client, the vendors and the projectteam

    • Project Coordination

  • Coordinatework in collaboration with the project team
  • Establish workmethods in collaboration with the Site Manager and the Superintendents
  • Negotiates and approves the selection of major contractors in collaboration with the upper management
  • Manageprocurement
  • Organize andconduct construction site meetings as required
  • Participate inmeetings with the client and circulates information required for smoothoperations at the site
  • Organizeinternal meetings to effectively communicate relevant information, andcoordinate resources, including subcontractors
  • Hold power tostop any activity carried out by Borea Construction workers that is considerednon-compliant

    • Project Follow-Up

  • Performadministrative follow-up—costs, productivity, contingencies, contracts,etc.
  • Performtechnical follow-up—technical data sheets, inspections, etc.
  • Follow up onnotices of change—estimation, bid to client, negotiation, issuance of ordersand / or of contract;
  • Follow up onpayments with accounts payable department and accounts receivabledepartment
  • Authorizepayments to subcontractors and suppliers
  • Performguarantee follow-up
  • Coordinatepreliminary inspection of the work in collaboration with thesuperintendents
  • Coordinatepreoperational verification in collaboration with the superintendents
  • Deliver theproject in collaboration with the superintendent and obtain client’s finalacceptance
  • Reportsperformance indicators to Senior Management
  • Other related duties.
