We are looking for an individual with a passion for the natural sciences to join our team as a Biologist / Wetland Ecologist in either our Calgary or Edmonton office. Specific experience in wetland assessment, vegetation, and soil classification is of particular interest. The successful applicant will be a professional biologist and bring experience that experience to our public and private sector clients. As well, this position can offer an interesting variety of field and office work on a diverse range of projects that include biophysical inventories, environmental assessments, and monitoring of environmental impacts. Although the position will be based in either Calgary or Edmonton, travel throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia and Northern Canada is anticipated.
Some of the Responsibilities You May Have :
- Developing and / or conducting biophysical assessments with a focus on vegetation, wetlands, and soils.
- Preparing reports, conducting reviews and analysis.
- Providing senior review for reports prepared by juniors.
- Developing environmental protection / mitigation plans.
- Preparing proposals including scopes of work, budget estimates and formal RFP submissions.
- Working closely with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals and technical experts in biology and environmental science.
- Contributing to ongoing project management best practice implementation.
- Staying current on technical and sector-based trends and legislation at the municipal, provincial and national level.

A requirement of working for Tetra Tech is that you are at least 18 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada without sponsorship (a copy of a valid work permit may be required).
