Health Association Nova ScotiaBedford, NS, CanadaPositions Available With Various Employers Across Long-Term Care in Nova Scotia
The long-term care sector is partnering together to hire and provide an Enhanced LPN Orientation for internationally educated nurses (IENs). This is an innovative and supportive initiative aimed at helping IENs transition seamlessly into LPN roles within the sector.
A LPN is one of the three designations of professional nurses in Nova Scotia, with Registered Nurses (RNs) and Nurse Practitioners (NPs) making-up the other two. There are many opportunities for LPNs in the long-term care sector in Nova Scotia.
Successful applicants will attend an in-person, comprehensive refresher program, focusing on the essential knowledge and clinical skills needed to provide safe, competent care for those in long-term care settings.
Participants who successfully complete the enhanced orientation program will be required to commit to a two-year return of service agreement as an LPN with their employer. This commitment ensures a stable transition into the workforce while fostering long-term professional development.
Responsibilities :
