- Composes and evaluates testing strategies and findings.
- Address and solves approval challenges for CE, CSA, FCC, among others concerning safety and EMC.
- Conducts feasibility reviews, cost assessments, and simulations to evaluate both technical and financial viability of concepts.
- Always considers Design for Manufacturability (DFM) with the aim of achieving high-yield, mass-produced products without compromising on reliability.
- Develops tolerance analyses to ensure that products can be efficiently produced and will operate as intended under varied conditions.
- Engages in or reflects upon Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Evaluates design options using analytical or simulated methods to satisfy performance, dependability, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, spanning Mechanical to Sales and Marketing, to innovate and address customer concerns.
- Coordinates closely with external stakeholders, such as suppliers and consultants, to enhance designs and address related challenges.
- Engages in or aids failure assessments of products returned from the field and those from the production line.
- Innovates new designs while supporting existing ones and ongoing projects.
- Plays a role in and adheres to the Product Development Process.
- Oversees project initiatives.
