We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Health, Safety & Environmental Manager in Fort William First Nation, Ontario, to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance within our operations and engineering sector. As a HSE Manager, you will provide leadership and support in all areas related to health and safety, while also ensuring we maintain strong stewardship of the environment in all our work activities.

Responsibilities :

• Provide leadership and direction in health and safety matters
• Strive to achieve health and safety excellence
• Ensure continuous focus on worker and public safety
• Maintain compliance with occupational health and safety legislation
• Oversee the development and maintenance of an enhanced environmental management system
• Uphold our guiding principles and Indigenous perspectives on environmental and land stewardship
• Regular engagement to understand legislated requirements and industry practices
• Use ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now tools for managing HR tasks
• Leverage skills in ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode, Ceridian, and HCM for various HR functions
• Handle benefit functions, maintain compliance, and manage employee relations
• Oversee hiring processes and ensure effective communication within the team.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a HSE Manager role.
• Proficient with ADP - Financial Services.
• Experience using ADP Workforce Now.
• Knowledge of ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode.
• Familiarity with Ceridian software.
• Proficient in HCM (Human Capital Management).
• Experience in managing Benefit Functions.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of compliance laws and regulations related to HR.
• Experience in handling Employee Relations.
• Proficiency in Hiring Processes, including recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding.
