We are currently seeking a Business Intelligence - Production Support w/Microstrategy exp. (REMOTE) to join our team! This is a fully remote role and can be based anywhere in Canada.

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Working closely with Project managers, user interaction designers, and onsite\ offshore software engineers to deliver new and enhancement projects.
• Prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment and putting ideas into a tangible form
• Preparation of Architectural documents and best practices for the solution.
• Provide back-up strategy for implementation and Data Migration planning.
• Create appropriate indexes for the relevant columns of the tables in database.
• Documentation of test cases and workflow instructions.
• Deployment of BI packages and BI reports.
• Unit test of BI ETL Jobs for extraction, transformation and loading of client data.
• Unit test of BI Tool Reports that used to populate and send the Clients Data via BI Tool.
• Ensure system and database scalability, security, performance, and reliability.
• Participates in implementation, rollout, migration, integration, upgrades for BI applications. BI Dashboard/BI Tool setup, Performance Tuning and Automation:
• Design the Data foundation/ Data Lake and the business layers in BI Dashboard.
• Security roles & user groups definition for BI Reporting Tool.
• Creation of dashboard for easy monitoring and alerting
• Building new environments for BI Tool and Version controlling and upgrades as per latest patch.
• Organizing and delivering services on a cross-section of complex projects for BI Tool and actively participating in the development of Reports and Dashboards.
• Defined Folder security in CMC and Implemented Row level security in reports and dashboards and configuring Active Directory groups on BI Tool.
• Develop strategy regarding overall architecture and infrastructure, identifies and defines necessary system enhancements, analyzes existing system logic, identifies problems, and recommends and implements solutions.
• System and application performance analysis, co-ordination, and remediation.
• Identify automation for repetitive activities and proposal for performance improvement, if any.
• Identify low performance jobs within the system and rewrite/redesign to improve performance.
• Drive a coordinated Business Intelligence and Automation strategy to enable KPIs to track and report the success of each activities.

Basic Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in development/enhancement, analysis, design, maintenance, documentation & testing
• 6+ years of experience in SSIS & SQL Server and at least 4+ years of experience in MicroStrategy.
• Working on the development of new BI (Business Intelligence) ETL Packages/Process to achieve the new Clients requirements and setup new Clients.
• Create new technical Specification Documents to work for the development of New ETL Packages and BI Tool Reports.
• Create design documents for defining process, Quality, and Information analyzer jobs.
• Creation of Adhoc and Canned Reports in BI Tool while analyzing the business user’s requirement and reviewing current environment.
• Analysis and study of existing systems and plug the new ETL Packages within the system.
