About the Role
The Field Supervisor role for our Brantford Field Operations is best suited to someone with a hands-on approach to leadership. As a Field Supervisor, you'll be at the forefront of managing day-to-day operations, requiring a blend of technical know-how and effective communication skills.
Your primary responsibilities will revolve around overseeing and coordinating biosolids spreading programs for our northern operations. The key responsibilities include planning and executing operational strategies, ensuring regulatory compliance, supervising and supporting the Tractor Operators and Field Operators, maintaining safety protocols, and facilitating effective communication with stakeholders.
This role offers a dynamic work environment, with a significant portion of your time spent outdoors actively engaging in field operations alongside your team. There is a seasonal aspect to our field operations, so flexibility in work hours is often necessary. This may include extended hours during peak operational periods or when addressing unexpected challenges.

About You
- 1-3 years supervisory or managerial experience;
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills to lead effectively and coordinate team members;
- Familiarity with agricultural equipment and dragline systems is an asset;
- Excellent communication skills to engage and facilitate effective information flow between team members, stakeholders, and management. The ability to communicate clearly and assertively is crucial.
- Mechanical aptitude with problem-solving skills to address operational challenges, troubleshoot issues, and make informed decisions in real-time.
- A commitment to safety awareness and the ability to enforce safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for the team;
- AZ / DZ license is considered an asset;
- A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness;
- Ability to adapt to changing conditions, weather, and unexpected challenges.
