We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing exceptional administrative support, and enhancing the patient experience. This position requires proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with electronic medical records systems.

Duties

Greet patients and visitors warmly at the front desk, ensuring a welcoming environment.

Manage phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and address patient inquiries effectively.

Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records software, such as Epic or Dentrix.

Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.

Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and medical history.

Support clinical staff by preparing examination rooms and assisting with patient flow.

Ensure compliance with health regulations and office policies while maintaining confidentiality of patient information.

Experience

Previous experience in a medical office or dental office setting is preferred.

Familiarity with electronic medical records systems (e.g., Epic) is highly desirable.

Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare environment.

Experience as a dental receptionist or front desk administrative role is an advantage.

Proficiency in handling phone systems and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
