Job Title : Marine Installer

Job Description

We are looking for skilled Marine Installers to join our team working on a large-scale non-combat shipbuilding project in North Vancouver. We have three different tasks available : Ceiling Systems Installer, Marine Panel Installer, and Steel Furniture Installer.

Responsibilities

• Install ceiling grid systems (carriers) securely, ensuring they are level and correctly spaced.
• Measure and cut Dampa tiles to the required size and fit them into the ceiling grid system.
• Install trims and edge covers around the perimeter of the ceiling system for a finished appearance.
• Ensure all ceiling components are properly aligned, and the tiles are securely in place.
• Follow all safety procedures and use proper tools and equipment.
• Inspect the completed ceiling for defects or areas needing adjustment.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment, following industry best practices.
• Measure, cut, and fit sandwich marine panels according to project specifications.
• Apply marine-grade adhesive to the installation surfaces before panel placement.
• Align, attach, and secure panels using appropriate fasteners, ensuring a solid and secure fit.
• Apply sealants along the edges of the panels to prevent water leakage and maintain insulation standards.
• Ensure that all installation procedures meet safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
• Inspect installed panels for quality, completeness, and functionality.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety regulations at all times.
• Assemble steel furniture components, including panels, doors, and shelves, according to manufacturer instructions.
• Install steel furniture into designated spaces, ensuring proper alignment and secure mounting.
• Install additional components such as doors, drawers, and shelves within the furniture structure.
• Secure the furniture to walls or floors using appropriate fasteners to enhance stability and safety.
• Inspect the finished installation for functionality, including checking doors, drawers, and locks.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, and ensure that tools and materials are handled with care.
• Ensure the installation meets quality control standards and customer specifications.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Vancouver, British Columbia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.06 - $45.57 / hr.
