Job Description
What You’ll Do :
The Sales Representative is responsible for identifying prospects’ needs, influencing decisions, and selling watercraft insurance products.
Reporting to the Marine Program Assistant Manager, you’ll be responsible for :
- Quoting & selling watercraft insurance products by establishing contact with new client leads generated through a multitude of sources, developing relationships with prospects, answering incoming communications, following-up, re-quoting prospects from previous years and contacting leads assigned to you.
- Creating a trusting environment that fosters referrals, new sales opportunities, and retention of existing business.
- Actively participating within the sales team and independently to continuously contribute to overall business improvement.
- Maintaining complete customer documentation, preparing correspondence, and documenting files for follow up.
- Tackling complex insurance-related cases, creatively utilizing all available resources until full resolution is met.
- Maintaining a current Power Broker base and promptly following up on all client communications.
- Identifying opportunities to sell additional lines of business in our well-established client base then contacting the client to present the offer.
- Keeping up to date on company underwriting guidelines and changing markets. We primarily broker with Aviva, and Intact.
