Technical Sales Representative – Marine & Infrastructure Solutions
Overview

Our client is an international pioneer and manufacturer of premium, marine-grade aluminum dock systems, bridges, and floating infrastructure solutions. Seeking a high-performing Technical Sales Representative to rebuild and expand their Eastern Canadian commercial footprint. This field-based hunter role focuses on identifying capital infrastructure projects, advising municipal and commercial stakeholders, and driving territory growth through consultative, value-driven selling.

Advantages
Exceptional Earning Potential: Base salary range of $70,000 – $90,000 CAD with uncapped performance accelerators yielding Year 1 OTE of $100,000 – $120,000 CAD and Year 3 OTE potential of $250,000+ CAD.

Comprehensive Perks: Monthly vehicle allowance ($700–$800), full travel expense coverage, laptop, mobile, and home office support.

Robust Benefits: 50% company-paid group insurance, matching RRSP program scaling up to 125%, 3 weeks vacation, and social committee perks.

Market Advantage: Represent a globally respected brand offering industry-leading, 100% recyclable, highly durable product lines backed by full engineering support.

Autonomy & Impact: High level of trust and intrapreneurial freedom to manage and grow your territory.

Responsibilities
Proactively prospect, target, and secure multi-million dollar capital infrastructure opportunities across municipal, commercial, and private developer sectors.

Conduct consultative discovery with project stakeholders (engineers, architects, marina developers, municipal directors, and general contractors) to evaluate project feasibility, layout, and ROI.

Inherit and manage an established base of regional accounts and recurring service contracts (~$150K+ annual base value) while driving add-on product sales.

Spend ~80% of time in the field building relationships, performing site surveys, and attending industry trade events (e.g., Toronto Boat Show).

Manage sales pipelines within a multi-year sales lifecycle, hitting Year 1 volume targets of $1M and scaling to $3M+ by Year 3.

Qualifications
3 to 5 years of successful B2B technical or industrial sales experience with a proven track record of cold prospecting and territory expansion.

Demonstrated experience navigating complex municipal procurement, engineering specifications, or real estate development projects (CapEx/OpEx sales).

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred.

Self-motivated, autonomous, and comfortable operating in an independent field sales capacity.

Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and valid passport for occasional North American travel.

Summary
This is a permanent, full-time field sales position covering Ontario and Eastern Canada, offering a base salary of $70,000 – $90,000 CAD plus performance commission (Year 1 OTE $100,000 – $120,000 CAD) and a monthly car allowance. The role requires 80% field travel with 20% remote office administrative work. Candidates must possess a proven track record in B2B technical sales, strong prospecting capabilities, and experience working with municipalities or technical decision-makers.
